With over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, I have dedicated myself to caring for others through some of life's most challenging moments. My journey has not been without its own trials- I have personally struggled with mental health issues, and these experiences have given me deep empathy and understanding. Today, I use both my professional knowledge and personal growth to guide women toward better health, self-acceptance, and resilience.

My Story
In a bustling trauma ER in Baltimore, where the sounds of beeping machines and the rhythmic "thump-thump" of medivac helicopters filled the air, I worked as a dedicated nurse. On the outside, I appeared strong and capable. But, beneath the professional facade lay a silent battle with depression, anxiety, and low self-worth, compounded by the pressures of work and parenting.
As the demands of my job intensified, and with the birth of my second child, I found myself overwhelmed. 12-hour shifts, the emotional toll of patient care, and the constant pressure to perform at work and at home took a significant toll on my mental health. Feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness consumed me. Alcohol became my best friend. I questioned my abilities as a nurse and a mother. The darkness of depression made it challenging to see beyond my struggles, and I felt trapped in a cycle of anxiety that made even the simplest tasks seem impossible. Thoughts of suicide were frequent.
Recognizing that I could no longer fight this battle alone, I sought help. I began therapy, where I learned to confront my feelings and challenge the negative thoughts that had clouded my mind. Through guided sessions, I discovered healthy coping strategies, mindfulness techniques, and the importance of self-compassion. I learned to take action-small steps each day that allowed for healing and growth. With time and the help of a mental health mentor, I slowly transformed my belief patterns and gained a new, healthier perspective.
Today, I stand as a testimony to resilience. I embrace my role as a nurse coach and as a mother to three children. Through my journey, I have learned that it is okay to ask for help and that healing is a process. I am not just a nurse; I am a warrior and an inspiration to all women who face their own struggles. My hope is that my story serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
